BLACKPOOL Victoria Hospital provides acute hospital services to the 330,000 residents of the Fylde Coast as well as providing specialist cardiac services to patients in Lancashire and South Cumbria. The hospital is managed by Blackpool Fylde and Wyre Hospitals NHS Trust who also have responsibility for a number of other hospitals in the area. Fleetwood hospital is a smaller hospital which offers a number of clinics including outpatients. Clifton Hospital in St Annes offers Rheumatology and Dermatology services amongst other things. The Trust also manages three rehabilition units one in Wesham, one in Rossall and one in Bispham. The National Artificial Eye Service is also managed by The Trust as is Blenheim House Child Development Centre. At Primary Care level two Primary Care Trusts are responsible responsible for the services provided by GPs (General Practitioners), dentists, opticians, pharmacists and nurses working in GP surgeries and patients’ homes. The PCT's are also responsible for community services including health visitors, district nurses, the Walk-In Centre on Talbot Road, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, community dentistry, Family Planning; and Sexual Health Services.
