Wesham Primary School is a one form entry Church of England primary school, set in the heart of Wesham village.

The school was founded in 1880 with two classrooms and a hall and was later expanded to offer four classrooms.

In 1991 a self-contained reception classroom was added with its own cloakroom, facilities and outside play area.

A two class demountable unit was added in 1995 and a new office, library and ICT area completed in 2003.
Wesham Primary enjoys close links with the parish of Christ Church, Wesham, and the Christian principles on which the school was founded are still important today.

It’s a happy school, where children aged 4-11 enjoy learning and playing together.

The school recognises that every child is unique and all staff work hard to ensure that each child reaches their full potential in all aspects of school life.

Head teacher Kathryn Pym and her staff are dedicated to ensuring that all children leave their school with key basic skills to equip them for further learning – in particular good reading, writing and mathematical skills.

The children are taught in year groups with children their own age, but learning is personalised so that it meets the needs of each individual child.

There is a range of extra music activities and many children are learning to play brass and woodwind instruments or are a member of the school choir.

The school also participates in many interschool sporting events. Children are always encouraged to share their talents.

Please ring for an appointment with the head teacher who will be very proud to show you the school in action.
