Rob Lock
Born in Gillingham in 1960 and educated at Old Hall comprehensive in Rotherham
Photographic qualifications via sixth form college, achieved NCTJ photo-journalism course.
After working at the Rotherham Advertiser, joined The Gazette in 1993.
Runner-up of the Regional Independent Media photographer of the year 2000.

Bill Johnson
Winner of North West Newspaper Photographer of the Year 2002.
Born in County Durham in 1955 and educated at St John CE Primary School and Blackpool Grammar School.
Photographic qualifications via Blackpool and the Fylde college.
After working at the Morecambe Visitor, joined The Gazette in 1978.
Winner of 'North West Newspaper Photographer of the year' in 2002.
Exhibition of photographs 'Where Seagulls Dare' at the Grundy art gallery.

Mark Pearson
Trained with the NCTJ at Sheffield Norton College received Distinctions in Photojournalism.
Commended in the Johnston Press NW Editorial and Newspaper Sales Awards.

Martin Bostock
Success in awards organised by British Telecom, BNFL, RIM and Johnston Press.
Joined the Gazette in 1989.
Born in Blackpool in 1968 and educated at Anchorsholme Primary School and Blackpool Collegiate High School
Trained at Southport College of Art and with the NCTJ in Sheffield, receiving distinctions in photojournalism.

John Atkinson
One of the winners of North West Wilsons Brewery 1979.
Chief Photographer. Educated at Carlisle Grammar School.
Started work as trainee photographer at the Carlisle Journal in 1967.
Joined the Lancashire Evening Post in 1968 working in Preston, Lancaster and Morecambe.
Appointed Chief Photographer at The Gazette in 1996.

Mike Foster
Deputy chief photographer at The Gazette.
Member of staff at The Gazette since 1980.
