Clifton Street

BLACKPOOL is renowned nationally as a centre for fun for people of all ages and the town centre has a great choice for all tastes.

As you walk around the town you’ll see all the well-known attractions from the Winter Gardens, which hosts a fantastic range of shows in the Opera House and Empress Ballroom, to the world famous Tower and The Grand Theatre, which has spectacular shows all year round.

But the biggest and best thing to have happened in the town centre for years is the regeneration and newlook St John’s Square.

The focal point of the square is a 10.5 metre high sculpture named The Wave.

At the other end of the square are the illuminated dancing water flumes which can be programmed to act as simultaneous jets that will spring to life.

This is the perfect settingwhere you can spend an afternoon or night eating some of the best food and drink the town centre has to offer with the very best modern-day cafés and wine bars which will be staying open later over the Christmas period to cater for all your needs.

Come along and try out your skating skills on Blackpool town centre’s first-ever outdoor Real Ice Rink. It is open from 10am to 10pm seven days a week until January 3.
