Super seven snap up records
FLEETWOOD Swimming Club’s rising stars were in fine form at the Harrogate junior open-age meeting, one of the toughest events in the north of England.
Each of the seven competitors recorded personal best times, including ten-year-old Amber Taylor who stole the show with two gold and two bronze medals.
Both she and Alex Myers, 10, who claimed a gold and silver, managed five new best times over the weekend.
James Taylor, 13, secured four personal bests en route to a silver and three bronzes, while three fastest times for Gabriella Davey, nine, helped her to a bronze and two seventh placed medals.
Gritty performances from nine year-olds Joe Booth (two seventh places and three personal bests) and Bradley Wallbank (a bronze and four personal bests) pushed them into the medals, while Jacob Hancock, 13, swam a highly creditable personal best in his event.
