Blackpool Scorpions RL (U13s) 40 Widnes Moorfield 18
FOUR Callum Prue tries led the way as Scorpions powered to victory.
Ben Brown and Christian Roberts forced Widnes back early on, but Prue stole show with an excellent first-half hat-trick.
Four points up at the break, Scorpions increased their lead through a try from tough-tackling Jordan Curtis and a fourth from Prue.
Jordan Tierney, Joe Roberts, George Higgins, Matty Stowells and the hard running James Revell all contributed, as well-taken efforts from Joe Phelps and Frankie Campbell completed the rout.
Crosfield Cardinals 20 Blackpool Scorpions (U13s) 20
Second place Blackpool Scorpions earned a valuable point away to league leaders Crosfields.
Crosfields were gifted a simple touchdown right at the start and converted the try but they hit back when Frankie Campbell barged in at the left corner.
Blackpool’s failure to tackle correctly, let Warrington in for another converted try but once again it was Campbell who hit back with a try in the corner.
James Revell and Thomas Downing limped off injured and Blackpool had to dig deep.
But after the interval they came out fired up and their pressure paid off when Callum Prue scored.
Crosfield though refused to lie down and hit back with two further tries.
Then with the final whistle imminent, Joe Phelps coolly collected from Joe Roberts’ quick pass then and wrong-footed several players as he went over to score. Captain Phelps then coolly converted to level the scores right on full-time.
