Lytham table toppers

THE Year 10 netball team from King Edward and Queen Mary School, Lytham, have won the Blackpool South Under-15 League.

They lost only one match – against St George’s – and sealed the title with a 16-5 win over Arnold.
More than 200 KEQMS girls collected certificates at the school’s netball and hockey presentation evening.
The prestigious Hannah Hollinshead Trophy, for commitment to hockey, was presented to Penny Pemberton, from Lytham, by former winner and team captain Kerry Hunt. Penny’s elder sister Amy won the trophy last year.

The following were named players of the season.
Hockey: Under-12 Evie Manning and Heather Bulloch, Under-13 Ruby Lawson and Katy Lenney, Under-14 Natasha Singleton, Under-15 Catherine Latham, Under-16 Sophie Owen, first and second XI Laura Bury and Olivia Swift.
Netball: Under-12 Rachel Hirst and Lily Chadwick, Under-13 Katy Alderson and Rachael Harrison, Under-14 Hazel Cockerill, Under-15 Abbey Hesketh and Under-16 Gaby Little.
