Girls off on calypso tour
OH, we’re going to Barbados!
A group of 39 Kirkham Grammar School girls have embarked on the trip of a lifetime.
They boarded a Virgin Atlantic flight to the Caribbean island for the Kirkham senior hockey tour.
A school spokesman said: “This is an experience that will never be forgotten. The girls will play nine matches and experience all that the island has to offer.
Planned trips include a catamaran cruise, which will allow the girls to swim with turtles.
Various fund-raising activities have made the tour possible, including sponsored hockey which involved 100 girls.
