Blackpool (Under-10) 5 Manchester United 2
Blackpool won the league dress rehearsal for this weekend’s cup semi-final despite falling behind to opponents who had the better of the first half. Georgia Lambe hit the bar before Emma Hickson made it 1-1 at half-time. United regained the lead only for Hickson to equalise again before Lambe put Blackpool ahead. She then fired her second into the top corner and soon completed a hat-trick. Player of the match Eleanor Bannister made a great penalty save.

Blackpool (Under-12) 3 Man City 1
Blackpool continued their excellent start with a fourth successive league win. After a tight opening, Blackpool’s tactical switch was rewarded with a Jessica O’Massolli goal. Blackpool continued to have the edge after half-time and stretched their lead through Eve Kennerley and O’Massolli’s second. The points were secured despite a late City goal.

YMCA (Under-17) 4 Thornton 3
Thornton started the brighter but YMCA opened the scoring when a long throw from Danielle Takeuchi was headed on by Millie Brown for Melissa Donovan to drill the ball home. Siobhan Roach finished off a fine move down the left for the second and five minutes later YMCA player of the match Takeuchi found Charlie Carr, who scored with a looping header. On the stroke of half-time, Millie Brown slotted home the fourth. However, Thornton dominated the second half, scoring three and seeing a shut thud against the post. Robyn Taylor and Chloe Lean also did well for third-placed YMCA.
