YMCA produced some top-class football in difficult conditions and took the lead after 10 minutes when Olivia Turnbull turned in Evie Manning’s corner at the far post.
Manning’s second quickly followed before Siobhan Fryer finished a eight-pass move by adding YMCA’s third. Strikes from Annie Cartwright (2), Olivia Murray and Ashleigh Burke made it 7-0 at half-time. The home team rallied but Burke managed a second.

YMCA were caught cold in this North Valley League game and conceded a goal after two minutes.
Despite a disjointed performance, they equalised on 12 minutes when Millie Brown seized on Mandy Pendlebury’s free-kick and fired a shot against the post which striker Emma Brady turned in on the rebound.
A goal on the half-hour put Burscough back in front at half-time but YM pulled level again on 65 minutes, with a great run and shot by player of the match Siobhan Roach.
Burscough won it in the 78th minute despite solid displays by Robyn Taylor, Brown, Hannah Anyon and Emma James.

League leaders Blackpool could not break the deadlock until 12 minutes into the second half, when Emma Perrit gave them the edge in a game that could have gone either way.
Bolton equalised with a penalty but Blackpool clinched victory with two goals in six minutes, Becky Preston and Hannah Woodbridge the scorers.
