Georgia’s treble sinks Man United

Blackpool Girls (U10s) 3 Manchester United 1
GEORGIA Lambe’s hat-trick put Blackpool through to the Lancashire Cup final. They led 2-0 at the break, Emma Hickson playing a prominent part in both goals. With Charlie Henderson and new signing Alicia Yarwood catching the eye, Blackpool went close to increasing their lead through Hickson and player of the match Rebecca Shaw before Lambe scored her third from such a tight angle that the United supporters couldn’t believe the ball had not gone through the side-netting. Blackpool conceded a late consolation goal but had earned the right to contest the final at the county ground in Leyland in the new year.

Blackpool Girls (U15s) 2 Bolton Wanders 3
Bolton went ahead after only two minutes of this Lancashire FA Cup semi-final. But Blackpool were level within two minutes through Beth Fisher after Emma Perrit’s cross had split the defence. By the 11-minute mark Bolton were back in front and held the lead until half-time. Blackpool lost Alex Cherry to injury but still equalised seconds after the restart through Alice Jackson. Then Blackpool’s luck ran out as they had a goal disallowed and struck the post before conceding the winner with just two minutes left.
