Athletics Nicola and Tyler are chosen as Olympic ambassadors BLACKPOOL has appointed its first Young Ambassadors to assist with the drive towards the 2012 London Olympics. Each Blackpool secondary school was asked to select two students from Years 10 or 11 to represent their school on a Youth Forum and to be candidates for the Young Ambassadors posts. The candidates were interviewed and had to give a presentation on their role in PE and sport. The two outstanding candidates were Nicola Bradley of Highfield Humanities College and Tyler Butterworth from Palatine Community Sports College. The pair will work as role models within the Blackpool School Sport Partnership to promote participation, healthy and the Olympic and Paralympic ideals.
